City planners and engineers use Travel Time studies to spot problem areas, adjust signal timings, and guage traffic impact.  Travel Time studies are very sensitive in nature, and require the utmost accuracy in order to be effective for our clients.  This is why we at CJ Hensch are on the cutting edge of Travel Time technology.

We have two primary means of conducting Travel Time Studies, which are “live driving” and bluetooth collection.  “Live driving” is what we call sending our drivers to repeat specific routes at various intervals in a day.  These routes are recorded on GPS, which is also verified by our fleet tracking software.   The other means of conducting travel time studies is to set up bluetooth collection units at a series of intersections.  This information is sent to a live updating matrix, which can be viewed by our clients on a real time basis, as well, as an after the fact report format.
