Origin and Destination (O/D) Studies are essential to city planning, roadway planning, tollway revenue studies, and traffic impact studies. This is yet another area where we at CJ Hensch & Associates take pride in being at the cutting edge of data collection technology.

We offer our clients two different types of O/D studies.  One method is to use video and computing technology to conduct an LPR (License Plate Recognition) study.  LPR studies are ideal for determining the movements of all vehicles in a sample set.  LPR studies are great for judging traffic flow through few points.

Our newest method of conducting O/D studies is using Bluetooth data collection.  This is a quantum leap in the way Origin/Destination studies are conducted.  Using our very own Blue Harvester units, we have the ability to passively collect Bluetooth identification signals at a multitude of separate locations simultaneously, for durations that can last weeks, or even months (while preserving the anonymity of drivers).
